Tired of hearing that new Kylie record for the millionth time? Are you slowly edging toward suicide through seeing too many skinny jeaned indie kids? It’s time for you to re-evaluate your musical relationship and take a serious look into ‘The Divorce’. Understandably, this will be a tough time for you. So to make the transition as painless as possible, we have trained musical practitioner, Dagha, at your service. Having cut his teeth on the stages of the world with Lewis Recordings legend Edan and appearing on his best selling album ‘Beauty and The Beat’, Dagha released his debut album ‘Object In Motion’ to critical acclaim. Hip-Hop Connection Magazine awarded it a 5-star review and Elemental heralded the emcee ‘as sharp as his moniker’. His latest release raises the bar even further. Big drums, bigger samples and a tongue in cheek outlook on many of our daily gripes. It is through surviving a tortuous divorce that our hero Dagha can hold your hand through your musical tribulations. A more clichéd press release would call “The Divorce” an honest, human and refreshing release. A more honest, human and refreshing press release would call the album dope, banging and enjoyable throughout. Dagha will also be supporting Public Enemy with Edan as part of the “Don’t Look Back” tour this May.

They say Hip-Hop is dead. DL Incognito who once said ‘witness the resurrection,’ proves the statement to be false and converts it to be almost humorous. Listeners should count his continuous truthful deliverance and strong love for music as a blessing. It’s not everyday that an emcee is embedded with a passionate will to feed and save the conscience of others. But then again, miracles do exist. Even though DL Incognito ‘delivers lyrics on the low’ (which is what his name means), he sure is heard. His consistency as an artist has produced exceptional albums. With his upcoming fourth solo record A Captured Moment in Time, DL will once again validate that his microphone is not just a technological device - it is his voice.

Funk Master Flex, The Diabolical Biz Markie, Doo Wop, DJ Enuff, Big Kap, Mister Cee, Cipha Sounds and Mark Ronson, a group of street DJs collectively known as the Flip Squad DJ’s, have been holding court individually on Planet Hip-Hop for years. With the release of this album, the jocks hit the streets with some super-hot mixes. Guest spots from McGruff (”Villian Guys”), Canibus (”Seriously”), Uneek (”Members Only”) and Don Blaq (The Things I Do”) offer up a wide stylistic variety.
More than a white-hot mix tape, THE FLIP SQUAD ALL-STARS is a combination of the most contemporary beats and the classic sounds of a hip-hop era long gone. “How Ya Like Us Now” finds Mister Cee working the track with old school players Brucie B., Luvbug Starski & DJ Hollywood. Other tracks to check for are “Turntables,” “Fa Reel” and “It’s Da Biz,” where the Diabolical One kicks his famous laid-back flow over a slick track.
